Are you prepared to step out of your comfort zone to boost your business and your confidence using improvised comedy?

You’ll get to learn a range of skills which will help you nail your business story and presentation style so you can win the hearts and minds of any business audience in any business context – whether you are looking for new customers or potential investors. You will uncover the key ingredients to develop your pitching, communication and team working skills.

With his passion and charisma, international comedian Jarred Christmas will work with you to extract the confidence, enthusiasm and motivation you need to develop your presentation skills so you can showcase your business in its best light.

This full day training workshop from the Business Gateway will include an informal mix of games and activities that will give you the tools and techniques to craft your communication skills. You will then have the opportunity later that evening to perform with the other participants to an audience.

This event is aimed business owners who are looking to up-scale or grow their organisation. Qualifying criteria for delegates include: 

  • 2 years accounts and a business plan
  • Minimum £500k turnover (previous trading year)
  • SME (under 250 employees)
  • Ambition for investment to grow your business and preferably receiving by some form of business support at present
  • A willingness to give it a go! No previous performance or comedy experience is necessary

All delegates must be available throughout the day of the workshop, plus the performance session until 7.00pm. 

Places for this training opportunity are limited. However, all applicants for this event will be considered to join the High Growth support or Scale-Up programmes delivered by the Business Gateway Growth Hub.

Deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 30th September 2019.

Jarred Christmas, an internationally respected comedian who has performed comedy for nearly 2 decades, and is widely regarded as one of the best improvisers around. Improvised comedy is a useful way of developing overall skills which will help you in your workplace, especially when preparing pitches, communicating with potential clients, promoting your overall business and developing your team.
