The Enterprise Adviser Network

The LLEP Enterprise Adviser Network (EAN) team works with the Careers and Enterprise Company and the local business community to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work.

Our Approach: The Government careers strategy and its implementation of the Gatsby Career Benchmarks define excellent career guidance developed to ensure every young person has the opportunity to access high-quality career guidance to make informed decisions about their future.

EAN StructureOur LLEP EAN team of Enterprise Coordinators work with Careers Leaders in schools and colleges across Leicester and Leicestershire to develop effective employer engagement plans to support schools in their careers planning for young people.

Enterprise Advisers are volunteers drawn from businesses who will work directly with the school’s leadership team to develop effective employer engagement plans to support schools in their careers advice and careers planning for young people.

They will work with other local businesses to equip young people with the skills they need.

We are always looking for individuals who would like to support the young people including through our Enterprise Adviser network.  To find out more contact where a member of the team will be in touch!

The role of the Enterprise Adviser supports local schools to develop and implement an effective careers strategy that puts opportunities with employers at the heart of a young person’s education. The adviser will draw upon their business experience to help a school focus on activities that are most effective in motivating young people.

The team are also passionate about the Give an Hour campaign that enables individuals to share their own careers journey and experience with a young person allowing them to consider their options in an hour.

The Careers and Enterprise Company was set up in 2015 to link schools and colleges with employers to increase employer engagement for young people.
