Jaguar Land Rover has had planning application for a major new storage unit in Leicestershire approved.

The unit is planned for the area around junction 11 on the M42 near Ashby, and will be built by IM Properties. It is estimated that the new development will bring around 3,000 new jobs to the area.

JLR’s new ‘logistics campus’ is proposed to stand at over 2.94 million sq. feet, and will be a major hub for spare parts distribution for the company.

The site in Leicestershire has no doubt been chosen by the company due to our region’s excellent transport links, at the heart of the UK’s logistics ‘golden triangle.’ Many other global companies base their shipping operations in Leicestershire, and logistics investment is a key driver of the local economy.
