Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA)

The Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) is a technical study, which uses census information, household data and economic and development information to show what the housing needs of the area will be how many homes will needed in the future and where in the county they could be allocated.

The latest SHMA was completed in June 2014 and provides an assessment of future housing need (including affordable housing) for the period to 2031 and 2036.

All SHMA documentation is housed on Charnwood Borough Council’s website. Click here for more information
