Labour Market Information 2018 for young people and adults

The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) in partnership with the National Careers service, recently launched a new labour market guide for young people called ‘What Work Leicestershire’. The labour market guide which has been cascaded across schools, colleges, careers centres and libraries, summarises:

  • Different work sectors across the LLEP area
  • Numbers of people employed in those areas
  • Which jobs are in demand
  • Skills that employers value
  • Suggested links to find out more about working in sectors
  • What employers look for in prospective employees

Lesson plans and careers related films are also available on the LLEP website here.

In addition, a labour market guide for adults is also available in order to help adults make well-informed careers decisions. To view the current adult labour market guide, click here. Later on this year an updated 2018 adult labour market guide will be released.
