Our new LLEP Employer Engagement Guide for schools and colleges is now available online!
We understand from working closely with our schools and colleges that Benchmark 5 of the Gatsby Benchmarks is one of the most difficult to tackle because it is hard to know where to start. At the same time, the Skills Team at the LLEP have also been having conversations on a daily basis from Leicester and Leicestershire contacts asking for assistance with employer engagement. Therefore, the LLEP Skills and CEC team have developed an Employer Engagement Toolkit: A Guide for Schools and Colleges to help education providers to have the confidence to get started on employer engagement and effectively build a sustainable pool of business contacts. This snap shot guide give tips and advice about how to get started, useful templates, local case studies, and other sources of help.
We also hosted a free training event on May 2 2018 bringing together school and college staff from across the city and county to officially launch the guide.
The Employer Engagement Guide will be a flexible tool, and the aim is that as more schools and colleges get involved in activities, it will be updated with further local case studies to more widely share good practice and inspire and help schools and colleges across the LLEP area to enhance their employer engagement activities.
The Employer Engagement Toolkit: A Guide for Schools and Colleges is available to download below, along with the three templates to help you get started. We would love to hear from you and how you are using the guide so please get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org
