If your business can help supply or manufacture PPE,
We are working with colleagues at Leicestershire County Council to co-ordinate the region-wide appeal for personal protective equipment (PPE) for NHS, social care, children’s homes, homeless shelters, community pharmacies and more.
The Lord Lieutenant’s #ppe4nhs Appeal is a new drive urging companies to donate PPE. Firms in Leicester and Leicestershire are asked to donate any new and unused items such as:
- fluid-resistant surgical masks (including although not exclusively FFP2 or FFP3)
- nitrile gloves
- eye protection
- disposable aprons or overalls
- sanitising gel
Businesses with the capability are also asked to consider using their factories or equipment to produce more of these specific PPE items.
Offers of help can be made using the link at the top of this page and will be processed as quickly as possible, prioritising those immediately ready to produce PPE to the correct standards.
If you would like to help but are unsure of the manufacturing standards required, please visit this Government page for guidance.
Donate PPE Only
If you are able to donate PPE only, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with details of the items you can donate and to arrange a drop off time.
The appeal is looking for PPE equipment in bulk, if possible. There is a need a response at scale to help keep our frontline workers safe. Business won’t return to normal until the nation has a grip on the virus, so it’s in manufacturers’ interests to help.
