The first Midlands UK Forum for Growth will take place 24-26 November 2020. It is the official investment coference for the Midlands. This economic growth conference is led by England’s leading pan-regional partnership, the Midlands Engine, and brings together more than 150 public and private sector organisations from across the Midlands, the UK and overseas. The over-arching aim is to achieve the region’s vision for greater sustainable growth and economic prosperity.

The event will take place online, with sessions running from 9.30am – 1.15pm each day.

Keynote addresses from public and private sector leaders include:

  • Sir John Peace, Chairman, Midlands Engine
  • Andy Street CBE, Mayor of the West Midlands

The Conference has three key themes:

Day One: Growth – Delivering sustainable and good growth
Day Two: Collaboration – The opportunities for better public and private collaboration
Day Three: The Future – Priorities for the future and building on success

Each day there will be a series of major investment presentations from destination partners and local authorities about key opportunities in their geography, and panel discussions about delivering good growth on topics such as:

  • Repurposing City Centres
  • Commonwealth Games
  • Infrastructure
  • Housing and Communities
  • Skills & Education
  • Leicester Space Park
  • Repurposing High Streets
  • Cutting Edge Technology
  • Future Leaders

The conference will be held entirely on digital platforms with delegates able to connect, send messages, and arrange meetings in the lead up to, and during the conference – see more information on how this works.
