Connexions Leicester City has successfully secured ESF funding to deliver EmployMe, a FREE personalised programme to support City young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), those known to Youth Offending (YOS) and Looked After Children (LAC). The project goal is to progress these vulnerable young people aged 15 – 24 years into employment, education, training or volunteering opportunities.
There is individualised support for clients, and advisers will work with them intensively to overcome their barriers and help them into support positive outcomes. Support will continue once a positive outcome has been achieved in order to help the clients sustain their positive activities. As the project progresses, case studies will be developed to share learning and good practice.
Employ Me will not affect clients Jobseekers Allowance or Universal Credit. Support with travel expenses is available.
188 people will be supported over the project lifetime. The project ends in March 2019.
