LLEP ESF Provider Forum

F Provider Forum brings together the lead provider organisations who are delivering ESF programmes in the Leicester and Leicestershire area.  The aims of the Forum are to:

  • Coordinate the delivery of local ESF activity across different projects and programmes.
  • Share information and guidance between the LLEP, opt-in organisations, the Managing Authority and providers.
  • Ensure effective the referral of beneficiaries between different ESF projects and programmes.
  • Collate data and best practice information to inform the future development of the LLEP ESF programme.

 

LLEP ESF Provider Forum July 18 2018

This was held at City Hall, Leicester.

The meeting incorporated representation from the leads of eleven ESF programmes, plus the LLEP,  and the two local authorities and APM linked to their supporting ex offenders offer . The LLEP led on a Digital Skills activity, as all areas are likely have local partnerships around digital skills, which have been growing in importance for adults and young people across all industry sectors.  The LLEP also updated on recent LLEP Board changes. There were also updates from the BLF, local authorities and provider updates and networking.

 

LLEP ESF Provider Forum April 18 2018

This was held at City Hall, Leicester.

The meeting incorporated representation from the leads of eleven ESF programmes, plus the LLEP,  and the two local authorities and APM linked to their supporting ex offenders offer . The LLEP led on an Apprenticeship activity, as take up is low across programmes, to asses what can be practically done to raise awareness of Apprenticeships and increase take up. There were also updates from ESFA and BLF and provider updates and networking.

 

LLEP ESF Provider Forum January 17 2018

This was held on Wednesday January 17 at City Hall, Leicester.

The meeting incorporated representation from the leads of ten ESF programmes, plus the LLEP,  and both of the two local authorities. The LLEP gave an update on the Industrial Strategy, LEP Reviews, the Midlands Engine and the latest ESIF update. Leicester City Council also gave an update on the Employment Hub. DWP representatives attended to update on their priorities and enhance better partnership working. All providers shared updates and suggestions for enhanced cross working.

 

LLEP  ESIF Joint Provider Forum October 19 2017

On October 19 2017, the LLEP held a joint ESF/ERDF Provider Forum event to enhance processes and practice. The feedback from this event is being assessed and will be available in the near future.

 

LLEP ESF Provider Forum July 19 2017

The third LLEP ESF Provider Forum was held on Wednesday July 19 at City Hall, Leicester.

The meeting incorprated representation from the leads of ten ESF programmes, plus the LLEP,  and one of the two local authorities. The LLEP gave the latest ESIF update and also presented on the latest information from the ESF Future Open Calls research.  An activity then took place with providers working in small groups to outline successes and challenges around each ESF Thematic Objective, resulting in effective feedback to inform future activity and also which can be fed back to the ESIF committee.  Leicester City Council also gave an update on city skills initiatives and support programmes.

The next LLEP ESF Provider Forum will take place on Thursday October 19 2017, and will be combined with the ERDF Dissemination Event that is planned for that day.

 

LLEP ESF Provider Forum April 19 2017

The second LLEP ESF Provider Forum was held on Wednesday April 19 at City Hall, Leicester.

The meeting incorprated representation from the leads of eleven ESF programmes, plus the LLEP,  and the two local authorities. The LLEP led on outlining how the Forum works, the latest ESIF update and discussion then took place on sharing good practice, common themes and challenges. A forum contact list was shared, the draft ‘Terms of Reference’ for the group were endorsed, networking opportunities were instigated, and action points were taken away by all to further support ESF activity.

Each provider gave an overview of their programme.  The LLEP is collating provider ESF information into an ‘easy guide’ and this should be available in the near future.

 

LLEP ESF Provider Forum January 18 2017

The first LLEP ESF Provider Forum was held on Wednesday January 18 at City Hall, Leicester.

At the first meeting there was representation from the leads of nine ESF programmes, plus the LLEP, LLEP Business Gateway and the two local authorities. The LLEP led on outlining how the Forum would work, and conversations were initiated on how to best coordinate ESF delivery, give two way feedback, initiate network opportunities between providers and share good practice.

Each provider was given the opportunity to give an overview of their programme.  The meeting was well received by providers, and going forward the Forum will meet quarterly.
