On 25th November, as part of its European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Strategy, the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) launched its European Social Fund (ESF) open call specification to procure an Employment Hub for Leicester and Leicestershire.
The aim of the Employment Hub is to make education and training provision more responsive to the needs of the local economy by meeting employers’ skills needs and equipping individuals with the skills they require for the world of work.
The Employment Hub will work directly with local businesses (especially SMEs) to increase the demand for apprenticeships, traineeships and work placements. It will also add capacity to and complement the work of the National Apprenticeship Service and local training agencies.
The call closed for submitting outline applications for the Employment Hub call on 18 January 2017.
