The Big Lottery Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.
Now open: Thematic Objective 9- Promoting social inclusion and combating poverty
This project aims to support disadvantaged people in rural communities within Leicester and Leicestershire to move closer to, or into employment, with a particular focus on how moving towards employment can provide the ability and opportunity to take part in society, interact with the community, and access services. There is £2.45m funding available and it is envisaged that activity will end by June 2020 (with the possibility of an extension).
How do I apply for this project?
Any organisation is able to apply, however Building Better Opportunities projects are better suited to partnership working as it is unlikely that a single organisation will have the breadth and depth of experience needed to tackle the complex multiple issues that the people who’ll benefit face on a daily basis. Please see the Project Outline, European Funding Guide and Summary of the BBO/ESF partnership requirements and more detail on the project needs on the Big Lottery Fund website.
To request an application form, or if you have any further questions, please email email@example.com. Your application form must be returned to this email address by noon of Monday 26 February 2018.
This final grant will mean that the LLEP area will benefit from £14,100,000 of funding from Building Better Opportunities in total.
